Our commitment
Margaret A. Johnsson for USA (“the Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you visit our website, communicate with the Campaign, sign up for updates, volunteer, attend an event, purchase merchandise, or make a contribution; how we may use and share that information; and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We may collect information that you choose to provide, including your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, message, volunteer interests, event information, merchandise order details, and other information you submit to the Campaign.
If online contributions are enabled, we and our payment providers may collect contribution-related information such as your contribution amount, date, billing details, occupation, employer, and information needed to confirm eligibility under campaign-finance law. Payment-card information should be processed by the payment provider and not stored directly by the Campaign.
We may also receive limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with the website.
How we use information
We may use information to respond to you; provide campaign news and requested communications; organize volunteers and events; process contributions or merchandise orders; maintain and improve the website; protect the Campaign, its supporters, and its systems; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with legal obligations; and support other campaign activities consistent with the context in which you provided the information.
Campaign-finance disclosure
Federal campaign-finance law may require political committees to collect and publicly report certain contributor information. For individual contributors whose aggregate contributions exceed applicable reporting thresholds, this may include the contributor’s name, mailing address, occupation, employer, contribution amount, and contribution date. Campaign-finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission may become public records.

We may also share information with affiliated campaign organizations or advisers when appropriate, with your direction or consent, to comply with law or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell personal information for commercial purposes.

You may choose not to provide optional information. You may unsubscribe from campaign email by using the unsubscribe link included in an email or by contacting us.
